ABOUT US
Founded and published for more than two decades by the late John Fleming, the Yearbook was built on his genuine passion for racing and his desire to give back to the Industry. Today, under the editorship of Daragh Ó Conchúir, the Yearbook is proud to continue the publication he built.
With many respected figures in the racing media from Ireland and overseas contributing excellent articles combined with wonderful photography the Irish Racing Yearbook captures the highlights of the racing and breeding year. It also contains a comprehensive statistical section covering all graded races, breeding and fixtures that acts as an essential reference guide throughout the racing season.
The Irish Racing Yearbook is published in November in time for the National Hunt Season and the Christmas market. It is A4 in size, and is printed and designed to the highest standard on 115gm white gloss paper with a perfect bound for a magazine style finish.
The yearbook has exclusive coverage of the HRI Racing Awards and all attendees and award nominees receive a copy of the book at the awards ceremony. The yearbook also contains free racing tickets for entry into many of the fine racecourse meetings in Ireland.

Daragh Ó Conchúir
Daragh is an award-winning writer and author, as well as a broadcaster, who has been working in the media for more than 30 years, specialising in sport and particularly horse racing. A native of An Rinn, the Co Waterford Gaeltacht, Daragh has been editor of the Irish Racing Yearbook since the 2009 edition, having been a regular contributor to the publication prior to that. As a freelance operator, his articles can be found in a wide range of national publications while he is an in-ring reporter for Rásaí Beo, TG4’s renowned live racing programme.

Meghan Rogers
Meghan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine Management from CAFRE Enniskillen, which propelled her into an internship at the Curragh Racecourse in 2022. During her internship, she gained valuable experience in various aspects of racecourse involvement, including marketing, sales, racing, and operations.
September 2022, Meghan became a vital member of the Irish Racing Yearbook team, contributing her expertise and passion for the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Industry.

Kerry Ryan
Kerry Ryan’s career commenced in Ryanair, based both at Dublin and London. Following her return in 2002, Kerry was a key part of the re-establishment of Swordlestown Stud in Kildare. In 2006 she took up the role of Office Manager at the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (ITBA). In 2021 Kerry went back to collage to study event management and all that it involves.
Following her departure from the ITBA, Kerry set up Kerry Ryan Event Management, which offers bespoke event management to both the Irish Aviation and Bloodstock Industry. Last year , Kerry came on board to work on the 2024 Irish Racing Yearbook Publication and we glad to say she is back again to work on the 2026 edition of the Irish Racing Yearbook and G1 Bloodstock Review publications.
