The Irish Racing Yearbook is the definitive Irish horse racing annual, established in 2003 and each year since its inception the book has grown from strength to strength. With many respected figures in the racing media from Ireland and overseas contributing excellent articles combined with wonderful photography the Irish Racing Yearbook captures the highlights of the racing and breeding year. The Irish Racing Yearbook is the ultimate collection with over 200 pages of the best racing and breeding highlights in Ireland and aboard. G1 Bloodstock Review covers content ranging from sire statistics and foal averages, to features on top broodmares and market movers.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team at the Irish Racing Yearbook and the G1 Bloodstock Review as our Marketing and Sales Manager. This is a pivotal leadership role that will involve overseeing the marketing of the 2024 yearbook, growing sales and maximising advertising revenues.
We wish to recruit an individual on a six-month contract, to cover a colleague while on maternity leave.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute an effective marketing strategy and manage the marketing budget.
Liaise with industry personnel and maintain excellent communications as a point of contact for the Irish Racing Yearbook 2024.
Proactively research, identify and generate new industry and non-industry advertisers and partners while maintaining existing advertiser and partnership relations.
Work directly with the editor and publisher to design and implement key marketing campaigns.
Conduct analysis to determine the effectiveness of each marketing campaign, and report key findings to stakeholders.
Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, website and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
Perform day to day sales activities and administrational duties, such as sales calls, processing orders and collecting/processing/organising various information.
Skills:
Excellent communication, organisation, customer service and writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
An understanding of digital marketing tools and tactics.
Entrepreneurial attitude, proactive and tenacity to always look for better things.
The capacity to work under pressure and meticulous attention to detail.
Previous experience in a similar position and an interest in horse racing is preferred, but not essential.
